AISI 309 / 1.4828 for heat exchangers

On today's #MaterialsMonday we would like to introduce you our high-temperature steel AISI 309 / 1.4828 ♨️

This material was qualified at Rosswag to produce functional optimized, high-temperature heat exchangers as part of the funded MultiSchIBZ project for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). It can be used up to 1,000 °C.

A major advantage of this material is its wide use in furnace and apparatus engineering and thus the good weldability to join AM components with conventional plates and flanges.
