Upscaling MetalAM material diversity
When will we see an exponential scaling of MetalAM material diverstity ❓ Learn more on MaterialsMonday
We are bullish, that the #MetalAM technologies need a broader material diversity to leverage its full technological and economic potential.
Great approach by Alberta Aversa et al. to have a look at the patent situation of MetalAM materials and the current patent situation with regard to different material types and topic classifications.

You can clearly see an increased effort in material development throughout all material types and if only a small amount of these patents finds its way to industrial use, many new functional-optimized applications and the whole MetalAM community would profit.
We already qualified 40+ materials for MetalAM and looking forward to a lot more to come 📈
